Ocean kayaking is an exciting way to experience Costa Rica's marine and coastal wonders, and much easier than river kayaking, making these trips open to experienced and inexperienced kayakers.
You will have the opportunity to get a close look at a myriad of life below and above the ocean's surface, from flying fish and sea turtles to frigate birds and pelicans. The group will also explore some hard-to-reach offshore islands and coastal estuaries.
What to Bring
Bathing suit, sunscreen, sandals, sun-visor or hat, dry clothing, towel, plastic bags for wet clothing.

Bilingual kayak guide, round trip transportation, single or tandem kayaks, high quality equipment, lunch (it is provided after the tour).

Single kayaks were not an option. I had been expecting to be offered the choice, as advertised, and would have preferred to go solo. I also would have liked more time snorkeling. The lunch provided was excellent.
This was our favorite excursion of our entire trip to Costa Rica. Kendall was our guide and he made sure we knew what we were doing before going out on the water. We had almost no kayaking experience beforehand. I would recommend this excursion to anybody who comes to Costa Rica looking for real adventure. Jumping off the side of a kayak to snorkel in the ocean was just awesome.
