The La Fortuna Waterfall formed by an old lava flow from the extinct Cerro Chato volcano, which is older than the Arenal Volcano. It’s around 500 steps to the bottom of the waterfall. The pools where you can swim have cool, clear water. This area has a primary rainforest, and your guide is a certified naturalist. As you walk, you’ll learn more about this tropical environment.

This attraction is managed by a non-profit organization that invests in roads, retirement homes, and sports fields.
