Finca Rosa Blanca Plantation is dedicated to sustainable coffee cultivation and community. Coffee grown here is certified organic — the plantation uses natural methods to keep pests away. All of the plantation’s employees are from the surrounding valley, so your tour gives back to the local economy.

The tour begins with a several demonstrations. You’ll see how the farmers remove pulp from coffee beans, dry the beans to 11 percent humidity, and finally roast them to perfection. Your guides will show you how you how to appreciate the kaleidoscope of flavors in a single cup of coffee during a tasting session — called a “cupping” session. Toward the end of your tour, you’ll get to sip a cup accompanied by fresh cookies, all served on a deck that overlooks the lush Central Valley.
